Golden Break

This night of darkness so sweet and cold
Chills my soul with its poison lips.
Seduction bleeds out black drops of blood
And yet the crimson magnet beats,
The pulse in tune with the rushing stream
Beneath my skin that longs for you.
The time goes by as the coffin shuts
And ashes turn back to dust that lives as yet.
Closed doors remind me of what was
And what could be and what has been....
And what is not...what shall not be.
The things never to become reality,
The words spoken and blown about by wind,
Feelings shared without knowledge or faith.
When revealed, yours have passed to another.
Mine remain and will forever.
Like an addiction I cannot break,
The love I have always remains.
How long will it take for you to know
That you have my heart and always will?
